How to get into Osiris Market, one step at a time

A no-fuss walkthrough for anyone who has never opened Osiris. Six steps. No jargon. Each step tells you when it is done.

This is a checklist that works. It assumes you can install a program and nothing more. Every step has an end point. If a step will not finish, stop and read the page that covers it instead of winging it.

Step 1. Get Tor Browser.

Grab it straight from torproject.org and check the signature. Skip the third-party Tor wrappers. Do not swap in a regular VPN. Tor Browser is what Osiris supports.

Step 2. Push the security slider to Safest.

Click the shield, pick Safest. The Osiris storefront runs without JavaScript, so this costs you nothing and shuts the biggest hole in the browser.

Step 3. Bookmark this page, on the clearnet.

Bookmark this directory, not an onion. The mirror table here gets updated when things rotate. A bookmarked onion eventually drops off the list. A bookmarked directory does not.

Step 4. Grab a mirror.

The Osiris profile lists three. Copy the Primary, paste it into Tor Browser, let the page load. If a challenge screen shows up, clear it.

Step 5. Make your account.

Use a username and password you have used nowhere else and drop both into a password manager. Solve the captcha. Turn on 2FA from the settings the moment you are in.

Step 6. Put Monero in.
